Mechanical Engineering is the discipline that applies the principles of engineering, physics and material science for the design, analysis, manufacturing and maintenance of engines, machines and other mechanically functioning equipments. The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in 2017 with an aim to provide application based quality education to students. The Department places heavy emphasis on the laboratory component in the teaching curriculum and innovative research projects. Students are exposed to real industry situations through industrial visits and trainings. Regular activities are also organized to enhance the morale of students. The Department has well qualified and experienced team of faculty specialized in different fields of Mechanical Engineering, who are committed to provide quality education.

Following are the well equipped labs in the Department to cater the needs of the diploma students:

To strive in preparing diploma mechanical engineers with core knowledge, basic skills and professional ethics as per  the ever changing industrial requirement for the social economic upliftment of society.

 

MISSION

M1: To Educate,Motivate and Prepare the  students with the basic knowledge by imparting quality education in the area of Mechanical Engineering.

M2: To provide the best practical skills by providing hands on practice on different machine tools.

M3: To develop humane, socio-ethical values and entrepreneurship qualities among Mechanical engineering students to serve the society and protect the environment.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs):

 

PEO1.To identify, analyze and solve technical problems through the application of contemporary science,Mechanical Engineering subject and developed domain skill.

PEO2.To achieves employment in broad range of industries and higher education by improving technical,professional and communication skills.

PEO3. To enhance entrepreneurial, ethical attitude and exhibit effective skills in communication, teamwork and leadership qualities which will enable them to work globally as leader.

PO1.Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.

PO2.Problem analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.

PO3.Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.

PO4.Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modem engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.

PO5.Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.

PO6.Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.

PO7.Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.

PSO1 :Develop the knowledge and skill relevant to Mechanical Enginnering professional and practical skill needed in workshop practice for competent problem solving ability.
